Small Angle X-ray Scattering

XAS

X-ray scattering from partially ordered arrays of biomolecules typically provides low-resolution (≥ 7-10 Å) structural information under biologically relevant conditions. Studies are relatively fast, require small quantities of material and are well-suited for time resolved measurements. Applications range from conformational change to folding intermediate studies.

Upcoming Events

RapiData 2017 at SSRL, April 16-21, 2017, is a practical course in x-ray macromolecular crystallography data collection, data processing and structure solution. The aim of the RapiData 2017 course is to educate and train young scientists in data collection and processing methods at synchrotron beam lines, using state-of-the-art software and instrumentation. See event details.

SSRL will conduct the 2017 SSRL Summer School on Synchrotron X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy between June 26 and June 30. The five-day session will provide training in XAS and Imaging theory, experimental design, data acquisition strategies and FEFF based EXAFS data analysis useful to both new and experienced users. Examples will be highlighted in various fields.
